what do I wish where do I walk amidst the ferns or over the rocks randomly I wander what doth I seek happiness - a mystery contentment - a big game sadness becomes the landlord, sometimes smiles rent the hall brushing cheeks with tears of agony or sometimes no reason to weep skies embrace and stars kiss my wall overwhelmed heart skips and skids in ecstasy this season let us travel to find ourselves amongst all. ©soumya
few steps and we cross
the gateway of earth
after the crisscross of clouds and few norms
we land on an altar
beneath , the world appears minute like a dewdrop
here ,we stride in cosmos
beside the planets in backdrop
can we hold and pick them up
place in orbits as we thought?
Life or destiny
can it be aligned and designed as
we presume and want?
ALLEYS OF AJMER
In the narrow alleys then
fragrance roses in abundance
The light smell of musk incense filled the air
I frantically moved from lane to lane
in search of you
While the lamps illumined darker corners and stars gazed
music echoed and heart danced
forgetting self in search for your presence
seeking the path to blissful pleasure…
lost in crowd , joyous and mute
another moment tears overflowed
and washed every glance
Nothing could be seen and known
It was a trance … a gnosis of love showering
onto every step , I fell
a hand came to save
I move around and still search for you
Alleys of Ajmer
Dust of you
I breathe your presence
O ! Murshid ! I miss you !
wandered I on various lands
ov’r seas, ov’r bridges
strolled on sands and
walked through indefinite contours
every land donned
a new robe,
a new colour
of hope ,
converges to the same destination
Paths many , journeys different
all under the same azure
witness the sun and moon while playing hide and seek
from their co ordinates
innumerable ways to elevate and transcend
ceaseless is the travel
there’s lot to discover
get set go and
in different atmospheres
before it ends…
“Our book at Amazon”
“The meaning of life for a mystic, is solely a journey from love to love. The condition of the soul before the journey is a condition of love; what is expected during the journey is love; and when the soul returns after the journey, it returns to love.”– Hidayat Inayat Khan
Few hours from now,I shall be flying to my homeland on a vacation.
Returning to the homeland after a year is very nostalgic. Things which have been missed shall appear on the screen of memories and meeting close friends and family (families) will become the highlight of the trip.
For now I wish all of you a wonderful time and am really sorry that I wont be able to catch up with all the blog posts and blogs even though I shall try to ,whenever I can spare some time and of course! get the internet!
I will keep on posting in between whenever there is something interesting to share and obviously coz you all should not forget me while I am on a hiatus! 🙂
Meanwhile you can go around with my old stack piled up since ages here!
For the big news, my book shall be out at the end of July and I will post the link as soon as it is made available for distribution and sales.

HAPPY BLOGGING & BEST WISHES,
REMINISCENCES OF THE QUEEN OF HILLS- PART 2
It was the season of roses, the queen of flowers then in April.
Having put up at the local tourist rest house, which was situated amidst the dense forest of fir trees, I along with my parents stayed there for months.
Every evening I walked through the paths that had the brownish color peeping through the greens, which proved that was the usual trail used by the local people there.
It was known to go inside the woods through the slopes was equally confusing and dangerous as the path could lead anywhere and there were umpteen ways ahead as we go deeper inside.
One evening I and my brother who is younger to me went for such an adventurous trip without informing my parents. We started with a nearby path and went on, enjoying the melody of cuckoos and songs of other birds .While walking we loved the small shrubs beside the path dangling with tiny flowers and even collected some fir cones to be displayed ,when we came back.
Lost in the charm of the elegant trees and the fresh air, we soon realized it was almost sunset and we still were far away from the main road. We didn’t have the idea of where this path was leading us to, so we continued walking swiftly.
It became dark in a while and we were amidst the dense woods.
Those days mobile phones weren’t launched in India nor had we heard of any such thing that existed.
So there wasn’t any question of GPS or SMS or calling up anyone for guidance. Afraid of the abuses that we would be getting for going alone in such a new place and that too within the forest was really making us cry.
Still I had to remain calm and composed to give confidence to my brother and with intuition we kept on choosing the ways, to ultimately reach another end of the hillside on the main road.
Sense of direction helped us to know where we must be and we headed towards our destination.
Those times when there were no gadgets available human mind was used more properly and efficiently. Our IQ levels weren’t as bad as they are now today.
We reached back an hour late and it was almost 7pm, pitch dark then.
Without creating any panic we entered the premises normally so that no could guess the fearful yet interesting adventure we went through and we managed to save our skin.
To be contd…

AN EVENING WALK – IN THE LAND OF DATES
While on an evening stroll I see a world full of dreams and hope,
walking beside the waters of a fascinating lagoon,
I find several date trees embracing the atmosphere,
well kempt lawns spreading as a carpet,
couples of all types acquiring their places…
A newly one coo-chi coos, an old duo exchange silence within,
few friends giggle with a can of coke over some kind of hilarious joke,
tiny toddlers learning to cycle, with their dads behind as their protector,
Fitness freaks jogging ahead, some are even less than their average weight,
Teen aged boys play havoc with their skates, jumping and sliding down the trails,
some colleagues sit and discuss work together,
few sit alone staring at the world of wonder ,
pondering and missing their dear ones,
still struggling for their survival…
Besides the canal as I walk, the transparent waters absorb my form,
reflecting in them my personality and providing me a new identity…
the serene waters… waves within, ripples and moves with propensity,
the skyscrapers kissing the blue paint a new dimension,
to the aspirations of dreaming high,
Amidst the tall buildings ,I find myself lost..
striving to create my own platform,
in the world of dreams…
The land where dates are born….
The stimulus to persuasion was very delicate,
few encouraging moments of converse in sync,
simultaneous effect of the tete-a -tete between,
mesmerized under a captivated link…
Conceding and responding to the sensitive expressions,
requires poise and conviction in self assertions,
numerous times ascertaining the disposure,
I accepted it as god’s will against all endeavour…
Not everyone dwells within to decide,
a path so intricately divine,
harmonising the surrounding with sincerity,
yet travelling on a course so pristine…
