6th Blog Anniversary

Dear friends,

As I woke up to the beautiful message from WordPress to remind me of the blog’s 6th anniversary, I looked back and realized this had been a wonderful journey of evolution, whether it is writing  poetry, life or anything,we eventually grow and evolve.

Thanks to WordPress which gave me this platform and connected me to few of wonderful people I had ever come across. The most important has been Shaheen Dhanji who has been a friend, co author, guide and inspiration all through out. Few friends like Vishal, Rachna , Rekha , Eric, Wendell,Jensy have been always encouraging.

I would like to take this opportunity and share few updates and captures of the recent developments . Although I rarely come on WordPress and the rate of posts have reduced, it always feels amazing to connect to the fellow bloggers. I always have the urge to come back and post my works here. WordPress has been like a family to me which encouraged me when I had just started the voyage .

The picture is captured while I got felicitated by the Chairman, Zilla Parishad , Vijayawada on occasion of International Multilingual Poetic Meet. The anthology already has found place in the Limca Book of World Records with more than 948 poems in 85 languages from across the world. My poems in four different languages are a part of this prestigious anthology.

What better way of celebrating the 6th bloganniversary than sharing this info here with the bloggerfriends,as this poetic journey had started from here .

Thanks for all the love and support.

Stay blessed,

Best wishes,

Soumya

Whence thus…

Treading through rough terrains when in the invisible threads of world entangle lost is the soul in the tandem of livelihood and survival.

Whence thus, whence would

breathe I the fragrance of jasmine

play through forests of green firs

watch the golden over peaks Himalayan

tread along sands of flowing rivers

count the stars lying in a desert

dance with waves of an endless ocean

vibrate in tranquilness

under the sapphire

O! mighty one

paths many I traveled

found umpteen chronicles

thousand relics

but thou reside in me

I knew…

whence would then

thou reveal?

Blog’s Fifth Anniversary !

Dear friends,

It has really been a long time since I interacted with all of you due to my busy schedule of  parallel assignments and work. Yet the quill never stopped and the ink flows incessantly churning out the deep thoughts, embracing with love and weaving them in form of new verses everytime.

WordPress announced today that the’ Blog turns 5′.  So its my blog’s anniversary ! This journey has been possible due to all the lovely blogger friends out here, who have stood with me since years.DSCF4103Each one of you have been equally important in my journey of blogging. This is my first blog and hence holds a special place in my heart.

Thanks to all of you – readers, bloggers and friends. Let me share a poem about birth on this occasion.

Who art thou?

The one who breathes in a cuddle of warm embrace
Tucking memories of every birth in tiny fingers
Whence thou arrive
from which land…?
From the soil of Beethoven or originated from the Rumi’s dervish dance
Had thou runneth beside the Ganga
or thou the leaf from the Bodhisatva
art thou the whiteness of Himalayas
or the pearl of a divine heart?
O! soul! Where art thou from?
While the soft lotus feet curl like petals
Will thou proclaim thy arrival?
O! Little one !
Welcome abode in the depths of our heart…

Thanks and best wishes

Hieroglyph

Sneak I through the silence

shearing the quiet  fear ,

As I shred

filaments of pain in pieces and bury deep

in gravels of past .

The new saplings of hope grow and flourish

blooming cluster of flowers

few sprinkling drops rejuvenate when they are about to die

Tis law of nature , I , mere the gardener

Come ,lets drown the precarious apprehensions

And live freely to create murals as

hieroglyphical scripture

“Tangles of Jealousy”

oh ! the tangles of jealousy,

where doth they drive one

into

the dark cave of hatred and false ecstasy…

how the heart like a chameleon turns

red ,sometimes bitter green…

Oh ! narrow minded alleys of such hearts

beware, thy happiness is momentary.. for

love in drops of divine

immaculate and selfless

is eternal and endless…

blossoms which on every perch is life

while moss forms on stagnant minds…

Try  ways

and acts

O! jealousy!

thy face will always be  decked

with superficial jewels

and a clear heart

will bejewel truth for serenity

DEATH

DEATH
I simmer in the boiling emotions of past
Oh! death ! it isn’t that easy
to sleep in thy arms,
before the world awakens
in duty is immersed my heart.
Would thou ever survive a second
in such life , craving for a glance…
Oh ! death! thou ignorant
of the mortal ways of earth…
how doth you know
the sordidness,
eyes when get wet with reminiscences …
Wrap me with the white linen
of thy warmth,
wait ,
let me furnish the assigned task
there are few minutes left
to be in thy arms!
My son!
Come here, adorn the casket
spread the lilies
Beware!
I fear roses
they prickle my skin…
quietly step near
I sleep in peace…
do not disturb…

O! Krishna!

The bejeweled trinket clinks,
tinkle ,few silver bangles,
she halts as the melody from  flute
mingles in the air…
in a soft tone she chants,
“O! Krishna,where did you vanish,
your flute troubles me
and plays pranks…
I search you
and find none…
where hath thou gone, O! Gracious one,
the sun sets in Brindavan…
awaits the doe eyed, ethereal maiden,
craves the soul ,in agony of despair and separation…
thy left the reed in pastures… of Gokul
thy mates miss thine play
with their companion…
the fresh froth of the churning cream
yearns for the immaculate touch of the tender fingers,
from the milk of the divine cows under azure
who pine for their shepherd …
O! pastoral of the beings
we seek your presence
come hither with the blowing breeze
beside the pond , I look for your being…
under the Kadamba tree, which showers the
blossoms of love
here, restless and impatient ,
sits the soulmate…
the Shakti of thou! Shiv…

Vaidehi- The woman!

Sanctified flames, she had to with stand
to etch a mark of her pureness
without an inch of flesh burnt
her soul  inflamed for ages…
Immaculate heart ,she could show none,
her innocence became her sin
to have a heart sinless  in the world of devils,

she shed a tear, her heart bled,
yet the impeccable serene smile gleamed
her being had impregnable faith
she will be purged from the muck therein.
born as a princess, wed to an epitome
she wandered with him through forests
struggling through every means
to remain his  devoted…

Was it an offense,
that she was silent
and resilient ,
that she faces the pyre of apotheosis!

Story by a birdie!

Rested awhile against the sturdy trunk of the old banyan,

I closed my dreary eyes for a second to fall asleep,

A falling leaf from the branch above, woke me up,

Shockingly as I got up to look around and stood on my feet.

The little birdie on the highest branch laughed aloud

In her jubilant mischievous tone ,she sang

“Oh! Look how fears a man strong, in broad daylight

from a gush of wind,

a fallen leaf shocks his senses ,he who can shake the

whole tree!!!

“What use the power and the vigour,

that is afraid of minute things

The heart inside trembles and shivers

 on every instantaneous scene.”

“I ,the little birdie ,sit here and say,

When my nest gets wrecked in every storm and rampage,

yet I build the straw house ..

with patience and smile…

what makes the powerful man

then sit like a loser and moan in pain

…while he lost few pounds by chance…

And still has ahead the whole lifetime”.

When my tiny birdies, who are just hatched

Sometimes slip and fall  from the nest

their determination and courage makes them fly

to a safer place to be in peace….

“Why,Alas! The tired human sits like a loser under the tree

He has got strength, brain and power to

use and rebuild …

What for he cries and what for he screams,

He is his own creator,

He ,who can build his own destiny.”
