shared I , the melancholic drops
fell which on the blossom of life
drenching my fabric
whence I treasure a casket
of those translucent gems for you.
not before long
they had rolled swiftly
away was the spring of love then,
missed thy ,my gorgeous raindrops
doused which as the early monsoon.
I realize ,how precious you
find them, glittering and shining
preserved , saved thus
like jewels
the drops melancholic…

Melancholic monsoon drops wades through the spirit,
as I dance like an innocent child as if no one is watching.
Truly a Jewel beautifully echoed by Soumya,
she makes the images so vivid and run wild in thy imagination.
Superb:)
Thank you Vishal for the additional lines. Iam touched that the poem resounds the drops and creates an imagery
It’s always divine and a suroor to read you:)
Your well written lines remind me of Keat’s “Ode to melancholy” where he wrote ‘To sorrow I bade good morrow but cheerly cheerly she loves me dearly’. I also endorse what Vishalbheeroo has spoken about your poem.
My true honour Sir, that these simple lines remind you of Keats. To be there beside his name in any way is truly a pleasure.
Beautiful words dripping with melancholia!
