THE UNPOLISHED PIECE

Of precious gems and stones sparkling
Lay a rough unpolished piece
Amidst the glitters of the world
It existed silently.

Whilst in the dust,others shone
Some red,rubies,some green emeralds,
Sapphires too dazzled on the ground
In the uneven and unclean world.

The blunt rough stone
 with piercing corners
And pointed edges
None knew it was the toughest amongst all
Lying mutely even in situations hazard..

Everyone who glanced upon the same
Would turn around and look for a name
It instead observed every step
That they traced and left unkempt…

Having seen the world and earth so crude
It thought of paving a new way profound
Walked it on the untrodden path
Amidst the chaos and unseen wars
Abrasive steps shone its skin
Erosion cleared the rubble within
With umpteen sharp bends it dazzled and shined
Being polished naturally
By winds of time…
And now it stood like a gem in the crown
Glittering more than the real ones around
Who were born as the precious stones
This  was borne to be the peerless one.
