Footprints on sand thy left behind
pressed against the delicate
contour  of the steps
remain visible
even though hundreds more
trampled the shores near…
At twilight awaited
the sandy beach
for the magnanimous tides
to be swept in…
which would wash the
transient or everlasting
in the depths of sea
to unite with the ocean eternally.

Shores are lucky to be washed by waves by nature 🙂

Yes, we can find ourselves at the sea. Leaving footprints on the sand while sea is leaving footprints in us. Beautifully written, my friend.

I love the beach. Part of the reason is the footprints – I imagine lives converging for the only time ever. It is perhaps a bit sad but also a bit beautiful. I love this, Soumyav. ~ Ever, Bobbie
