There was this golden chrysanthemum

shone who like the rising sun,

amidst the vast spread verdure

playing with dewdrops of nature…

Stood it under the blaze

gazing at the fiery daze

even though  the tired lark

veiled behind the comforting shade!

Watching the traveler

pass by the fields

wondered it

what lies forth behind the hills!

Where doth the running stream flow

the soul of florets

seeing the gushing current go!

Dancing clouds went by

tweeting birds

broke the solitude

butterflies amused for a while

dusk brought everything

silent and anew.

Sings the gilded one

tousling her floral skirt

“The green field in which I was born

I live here until my breath last…

damp soil of my land

holds me upright lest I fall

thence Iam here until I perish

for deeply rooted Iam

in blithe!”

They are edibles, so they are perfect to decorate salads and small bites.

What does inside the heart of chrysanthemum? Soulful and after all, the beautiful flower has a heart and soul. where were u, Soumya? Missing u on the space..

    • soumyav May 23, 2013 / 9:50 am

Ya ! The chyrsanthemum has a heart and soul.If you notice the lines deeply Vishal, they are about a soul who observes the people and life around continously moving in search of something or for personal needs…the flower is at a place where it stands, bears, enjoys every season of life with endurance and happiness as it is attached to its land(motherland) physically and psychologically. The chrysanthemum has been used as a personification here .
And sorry not been able to be on your posts since last few days, had many things on hand at a time.

      • vishalbheeroo May 23, 2013 / 12:38 pm

Indeed, it has Soumya. A soul who observed is always vibrant and has a heart. We are all travelers in this amazing journey of life which is beautifully described by Paulo Coelho’s Alchemist. It is indeed and such a beautiful post. Do comment when you have time and thanks for giving me ur time. Don’t be sorry:)

        • soumyav May 23, 2013 / 3:08 pm

Yes the journey is quite well expressed and explained in Alchemist! But many thanks that you liked this too. It was a perspective a soul can have or even a flower when it stands alone.
