A DEVOTEE!

She knoweth not what she says!

In the testimony of predicament,

devoid of the feelings of pain,

she immerses the self in the God’s name…

Striking features,exquisite face,

lores of devoted self,

living in a palace of dreams,

dwelling away from the land of splendour and fame…

Life of  gold and diamonds,

she sacrifices… praising in vernacular form,

knell resounds in the air,

when her soul utters the name of Lord!

.

Adoring the Almighty …

breaking the consuetude,

she is duteous towards …

her revered creator of such magnitude!

Reverberating  in her senses the vibrations divine,

Calumniating her … did not deter from being viator,

The poison transforms into nectar ,

As she drinks it as a blessing of God!

Her heart and soul echoed the verse,

Of the divine as her beloved,

For ages and centuries beyond,

A devotee such has never been born!

  1. Very wonderful poem…
“The poison transforms into nectar , As she drinks it as a blessing of God!
Her heart and soul echoed the verse, Of the divine as her beloved,” I love these lines..
All poisons in this world can transform into nectar with our love and sights upon God…This has been the great blessing in my life…to stop letting the hurts lead me and to allow God to lead. Thank you for this poem. I felt it in my heart and soul. May you have many blessings always. mary

  2. IMHO, Meera Bai and Tulsi Das are both embodiments of selfless love and devotion to their Gods…God for both these Bhakti poets is much more than what we consider our God to be. The personal relationship with that being these poets write about is deeply philisophical…and this poem is a fitting tribute to that talent and devotion!

Tales of Meera Bai I remember from my childhood. The same way a picture comes alive today in your words. It is a clearing process to search for infinity.
