BLOG WRITING

Numerous thoughts ponder on my mind as I sit down to read or just get busy in some kind of work..There have been several occasions when I feel How does my mind manage thinking about so many things at a time..

Many a times I had tried to write down several thoughts or ideas that had flashed for a second and then vanished, but never could I comprehend and summarize..

It needs a lot of patience to write about such topics..and might be I’m too restless and impatient to have that characteristic of a writer..

I always was fond of poetry and some of them had left a deep impact on me since childhood…one of them being ” I wandered lonely as a cloud”….by William Wordsworth…and many more..

Somehow I started writing when I was in high school..out of compulsion, when one  day I was pushed into a spot poem competition,as there was no other student ready to represent our class..

I just went inside without having slightest idea of how I was going to write..A poem!!!

We got a poster in front of us in few minutes ,it was a picture of Taj Mahal…

I thought ..ok! Taj Mahal,so famous for its love story and the history..So I can write something on love…

But as I started I found out I was heading somewhere else and I concluded the poem in less than 20 minutes..It wasn’t a love poem, instead it indicated the state of world now ..and pleaded the world for reinstating love in hearts of all for every individual on this earth..

To my surprise I got the 1st prize for the same..I just thought it might have been a fluke that I got the accolade for writing..

Few years later ,I again found myself writing few poems ..and making a collection of them in a diary…But after the completion of my college ,I presented that diary to my best friend and moved over..

Years later after my marriage,I again stumbled upon writing, this time different topics more maturely handled jotted down in a diary..

whenever I got time,I scribbled some in it..

But due to family bonds ,duties, children, all took a backside again..

And now again afer so many years ,I started off writing…more efficiently..more dedicated ..and now with the advanced technology..I started writing on this blog….

A long journey of how I began with the passion..

While going thru the blog ,hope you all have rides and surprises ..and you enjoy the feeling…feel the depth of my poems…that have been written from the heart..

  6. Who knows how many of us were inspired by Wadsworth when we were young – that particular poem most especially, I think.

Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself here.

  7. I too love Wordsworth’s poem. As a child at school I had to learn one poem by heart and I chose the daffodils. I still remember it to this day. In fact my son chose it for his poem at school. I too have come back to writing an after a long time so am still rusty but I shan’t stop now that I have started

    • Thats wonderful Lili, that you have opted back to write. Yes, the “Daffodils” by Wordsworth has been a favourite of many and it surely echoes in every heart. Iam glad the new generation to likes it as we had.
